Speargrass Flat Subdivision is a small settlement of four lots in the Wakatipu basin.

A double-tree lined avenue crosses a timber bridge over a seasonal creek and frames views to the Remarkables when entering the subdivision and Coronet Peak when leaving.  A mix of native and ornamental planting was used to provide the setting for the building platforms, to give privacy between lots and the surrounding area, and to enhance the creek.  Locally sourced schist walls were arranged around courtyards at each lot entry and were complimented with ornamental planting of lavender and cherries.
